Vanilla Semifreddo with Fruit Coulis

A classic Italian dessert that's simple to make with a delicious vanilla flavour and garnished with a blueberry coulis.

    Method

    1. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
    2. Add egg yolk, egg, caster sugar and vanilla bean seeds to the kCook bowl
    3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
    4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
    5. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 2 min 30 sec, speed 8
    6. Transfer content of kCook bowl to jug then set aside
    7. Clean kCook bowl
    8. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
    9. Add double cream to the kCook bowl
    10. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
    11. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
    12. Whisk with filler cap fitted - 1 min 30 sec, speed 8
    13. Whisk with filler cap removed and continue - 45 sec, speed 5
    14. Pour egg mixture into kCook bowl while machine is running
    15. Line a clean loaf pan with plastic wrap
    16. Transfer content of kCook bowl to loaf pan
    17. Freeze until set - approx 6 hr
    18. Clean kCook bowl
    19. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
    20. Add blueberries, water and caster sugar to the kCook bowl
    21. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
    22. Attach lid to kCook bowl
    23. Cook with filler cap removed - 4 min, 98°C, speed 5
    24. Transfer content of kCook bowl to jug and let cool
    25. Turn out content of loaf pan onto serving plate
    26. Drizzle serving plate with content of jug
    27. Serve
