This beautiful and light chocolate log is a treat for the whole family at Christmas.

  1. Line a clean baking pan with parchment paper
  2. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  3. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add egg, caster sugar and vanilla extract to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted - 7 min, speed 7
  8. Then add all purpose flour, cocoa powder and baking powder to the kCook bowl
  9. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 4
  10. Transfer content of kCook bowl to baking pan
  11. Bake - 12 min, 180°C
  12. Let cool slightly - approx 5 min
  13. Line a clean work surface with parchment paper
  14. Turn out cake onto parchment paper
  15. Remove
  16. Roll into a log
  17. Let cool and continue
  18. Clean kCook bowl
  19. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  20. Add mascarpone cheese and double cream to the kCook bowl
  21. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  22. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  23. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 6
  24. Then add icing sugar to the kCook bowl
  25. Mix with filler cap fitted - 15 sec, speed 6
  26. Then add dark chocolate to the kCook bowl
  27. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 5
  28. Lay out
  29. Spread thinly until covered
  30. Roll into a log
  31. Spread until covered
  32. Dust with cocoa powder
  33. Serve
